The federal government has formed a high-level committee, led by Deputy PM Ishaq Dar, to address PPP’s concerns over the construction of six canals from the Indus River. Planning Minister Ahsan Iqbal and Adviser Rana Sanaullah will also be part of the team.

The committee aims to hold negotiations with PPP leaders, including Asif Ali Zardari and Bilawal Bhutto, in Karachi and Islamabad to find a political solution.
A joint technical review and possible all-parties conference are also on the cards.
