Sheikh Zayed International Airport in Bahawalpur Damaged in Indian Attack

In a recent act of aggression, India has attacked Sheikh Zayed International Airport in Bahawalpur, which represents the close ties between Pakistan and the United Arab Emirates.

The attack caused significant damage to the airport, which was inaugurated in 1993 and named after Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan. This incident follows India’s previous attempt to strike Nankana Sahib.

In retaliation to these attacks on Pakistani civilians, Pakistan launched “Operation Bunyan-un Marsoos” (Iron Wall) on Saturday morning. The operation symbolizes national unity and Pakistan’s unwavering commitment to defending its sovereignty.

As part of the operation, Pakistan targeted and destroyed several key Indian military sites, including the BrahMos storage facility in Beas, and airbases in Udhampur and Pathankot. This was a direct response to India’s attempt to target three Pakistani airbases. Fortunately, all Pakistan Air Force assets remained secure.

Lieutenant General Ahmed Sharif Chaudhry, Director General of the Inter Services Public Relations (ISPR), confirmed that India had fired missiles at the Nur Khan base in Rawalpindi, Murid base in Chakwal, and Shorkot airbase. He reassured the public that all PAF assets were safe, and warned India of a “befitting response.” He also mentioned that India had fired missiles and drones from Afghanistan.
