Just hours after a ceasefire was officially declared between Pakistan and India, fresh violations occurred along the Line of Control (LoC), leaving two civilians injured in Azad Jammu and Kashmir.
According to officials, Indian forces opened unprovoked fire in the Rawalakot and Bhimber sectors. Police confirmed injuries and damage in the affected areas. The Foreign Office (FO) of Pakistan strongly condemned the incident, confirming India’s violation despite the newly announced agreement.

“Our forces are responding with restraint and responsibility,” said an FO spokesperson. “We remain committed to the ceasefire and expect the same maturity from the other side.”
The development came shortly after U.S. President Donald Trump announced a successful ceasefire agreement brokered by Washington. The Indian Ministry of External Affairs also confirmed the truce, which officially began at 4:30pm, with both sides agreeing to further talks on Sunday.
