Pakistan and India conducted a prisoner exchange at the Wagah-Attari border crossing on Wednesday, under tight security. The exchange involved the release of Indian Border Security Force (BSF) constable Purnam Kumar Shah, who had been in Pakistani custody, and the return of Muhammad Allah, a Punjab Rangers official, to Pakistan.
The circumstances surrounding their crossing into each other’s territories remain unclear. However, both nations coordinated through diplomatic channels for the repatriation. The exchange is seen as a positive step in maintaining communication between the two countries, despite ongoing tensions.
