Pakistani superstar Mahira Khan, known for her grace on screen and charm off it, has opened up about a deeply emotional chapter from her life—her parents’ troubled marriage.
While promoting her upcoming Eid ul Adha film Love Guru with co-star Humayun Saeed, Mahira appeared on Ahmed Ali Butt’s podcast and shared intimate details about her childhood. Despite the joy and love she felt growing up, there was an underlying darkness caused by her parents’ rocky relationship.

“They were very different people with different views on life,” Mahira shared. “That led to a lot of clashes.” She described her upbringing as “dysfunctional” and confessed that these memories still affect her. “I hate talking about this because it’s not just my story,” she said.
Mahira also spoke about her close bond with her brother, Hissan Khan. “Whenever things got hard, we would huddle together,” she said, crediting their relationship as her emotional anchor during difficult times.
