The Islamabad High Court (IHC) has officially disposed of a petition concerning the travel ban on former federal minister Fawad Chaudhry after his name was removed from the Passport Control List. The Directorate General of Immigration submitted a report confirming the action, which was taken in compliance with court directives just a day prior.
During the hearing, Justice Inam Amin Minhas wrapped up proceedings, noting that the matter had been resolved. Fawad’s lawyer, Faisal Chaudhry, expressed appreciation for the court’s decision, highlighting the importance of legal recourse in such matters.

Fawad Chaudhry himself took to the rostrum and thanked the court, asserting his political commitment by stating, “You know we aren’t going anywhere — we’re here to do opposition.” His remarks signaled both gratitude and intent to remain active in the political landscape.
Justice Minhas concluded the hearing on a light note, commenting, “You got the name removed by relentlessly pursuing it,” which drew laughter from those present in the courtroom, adding a moment of levity to the legal proceedings.
