An unusual incident at Khanewal Railway Station left at least 27 passengers injured after a signal pole ladder collided with several passing trains, railway authorities confirmed.
The injured passengers were aboard the Awam Express (both up and down routes) and the Musa Pak Express. According to officials, many travelers had their hands extended outside the train windows when the ladder struck, resulting in injuries.

Initial findings indicate that the ladder was intentionally pushed onto the tracks by unknown individuals, triggering the mishap. Among the injured were women, elderly passengers, and young people, though all are reported to be in stable condition.
Railway officials have initiated an inquiry to determine who was behind the act and to implement measures that will help prevent such incidents in the future.
