Radio jockey and digital content creator Mahvash recently became the target of intense online trolling, with critics accusing her of advancing her career through an alleged association with Indian cricketer Yuzvendra Chahal.
The speculation resurfaced following Chahal’s recent divorce from choreographer Dhanashree Verma, prompting renewed interest in Mahvash’s rumored connection to the cricketer. In response, Mahvash posted a firm video message on Instagram addressing the backlash and defending her professional credentials. She directly confronted comments suggesting that Chahal had “set her career,” presenting screenshots of the remarks, including one that said, “Yuzi Bhai has set her career.” She replied, “I have been in this industry since 2019.”

To support her statement, Mahvash showcased various moments from her career, including behind-the-scenes footage from the film Section 108, where she worked alongside veteran Bollywood actor Nawazuddin Siddiqui as both a producer and part of the cast.
Responding to doubts about her cricket knowledge, she stated sarcastically, “I’ve been hosting cricket events since before you were born. Stop believing forwarded messages from WhatsApp University.” She also addressed accusations of lacking talent, saying, “I’ve written two books, I’m the daughter of a scientist, and my work is available on Amazon.”
Mahvash highlighted her extensive work experience, identifying herself as a radio jockey, content creator, actress, host, producer, and author. She recently played the lead role in the Prime Video film Pyaar Paisa Profit.
Closing her statement, she sent a clear message to her detractors: “Your age doesn’t match the length of my career. So speak wisely before judging.”
Rumors linking Mahvash and Yuzvendra Chahal began during the previous year’s Champions Trophy and intensified during the 2025 IPL season, where Mahvash was often spotted at matches featuring Chahal’s team, Punjab Kings. Despite the ongoing speculation, neither party has confirmed nor denied their relationship.
During an IPL interview, Mahvash dismissed the rumors by stating she was “single and happy,” though the gossip only grew louder after Chahal’s official split from Dhanashree Verma in March 2025.
