In a heartbreaking and unexpected incident, Indian actress and model Shefali Jariwala, best known for her iconic appearance in the early 2000s hit remix Kaanta Laga, has reportedly passed away at the age of 42.
The popular television personality, who also appeared in Bigg Boss season 13, breathed her last in Mumbai. As per The Times of India, Shefali suffered a suspected cardiac arrest late Friday night. She was immediately rushed to Bellevue Multispeciality Hospital in Andheri by her husband, actor Parag Tyagi, and three others. Tragically, doctors declared her dead upon arrival.

Hospital staff confirmed the heartbreaking news, stating, “Shefali had already passed away before she was brought in. Her husband and a few others accompanied her body.”
Entertainment journalist Vickey Lalwani also reported the incident on his official Instagram, revealing that Shefali was brought to the hospital around 11:25 PM on June 27. While hospital officials verified her death, they refrained from sharing further details.
Cardiologist Dr. Vijay Lulla declined to comment due to confidentiality rules, whereas another doctor, Dr. Sushant, confirmed that Shefali’s remains were being sent to Cooper Hospital for an autopsy.
Although initial reports point to cardiac arrest as the cause of death, official confirmation is still pending. Her family and representatives have yet to release a public statement.
