American Woman Arrives in Pakistan to Marry Young Man from Upper Dir

A woman from the U.S. city of Chicago has journeyed to Pakistan to marry a young man from Upper Dir, according to confirmation by local police officials.

The woman, identified as Mandy, arrived in Pakistan to wed Sajid Zaib Khan, a resident of Ashirey Dara Sadiqa Banda in Upper Dir. Sajid informed police that he does not require any special security arrangements and confirmed that the couple intends to marry soon.

Sajid explained that he and Mandy first met online via Facebook two years ago. Over time, their virtual connection deepened, and it was Mandy who proposed marriage. Sajid accepted the proposal, and both families were kept informed and gave their support.

On Sunday, Sajid greeted Mandy with a bouquet upon her arrival at Islamabad International Airport. When the couple reached Upper Dir, they were warmly received by local residents, who expressed joy and welcomed Mandy with open arms.

Sajid mentioned that Mandy works as a flight attendant and resides in Chicago. He added that their wedding will be conducted in line with Islamic principles and the traditions of the local community.

In a video message recorded from Sajid’s home, Mandy said it was her first time visiting Pakistan and shared her admiration for the country, describing it as both beautiful and peaceful.
