Three suspects, including a father and his son, were killed on Tuesday in two separate alleged police encounters carried out by the Crime Control Department (CCD) in Lahore.
The first encounter occurred in the Kahna area, where CCD officials conducted a raid. According to police, the suspects resisted arrest, leading to a gunfight.

During the crossfire, the father, 55-year-old Fazal Rehman, and his 25-year-old son, Ameer Abbas, were reportedly shot and killed by gunfire from their own accomplices. Two other suspects managed to escape during the incident.
In a second operation in the Shahdara area, police were conducting an identification raid with a suspect named Tahir in custody. Authorities claim that his associates opened fire during the raid, resulting in Tahir being fatally shot by their bullets.
Police officials stated that all three deceased individuals were wanted in multiple serious criminal cases. The CCD has launched special operations to track down and arrest the other suspects who fled.
Authorities insist that both operations were legal and that the suspects were unintentionally killed by their own partners during the exchange of gunfire with police.
