EOBI Pakistan Website Shows Vulgar Content Due to Suspected Hack

The official website of EOBI Pakistan has come under scrutiny after users noticed vulgar and explicit content in its meta description on Google search.

When people search for “EOBI Pakistan” online, the site’s preview displays offensive language commonly linked to adult websites. This unusual issue has raised concerns among the public, especially since EOBI Pakistan is a government welfare institution that manages pensions for private-sector employees.

Some experts suggest that the website may be using a cracked WordPress theme. A security flaw in such themes can allow hackers to inject malicious backlinks. In this case, it appears that the crack was used as a backdoor to add SEO links promoting pornographic searches.

EOBI, or the Employees’ Old-Age Benefits Institution, is managed under the Ministry of Overseas Pakistanis and Human Resource Development. Its main function is to provide financial support to retired or disabled employees in the private sector.

So far, no official response or clarification has been issued by EOBI Pakistan regarding the matter. However, cybersecurity professionals urge government departments to regularly audit their websites and use secure, licensed software to avoid such risks.

The presence of inappropriate metadata can damage the reputation of national institutions and lead to public distrust. Users are demanding quick action from the authorities to resolve the issue and prevent future breaches.

Until an official fix is applied, experts recommend avoiding direct clicks on suspicious links associated with the EOBI website from search engines.

This incident highlights the growing need for stronger website security across public sector platforms in Pakistan.
