Underage Driver Kills One, Injures Three in Tragic Lahore Collision Enters Politics with Launch of ‘America Party’

A tragic incident unfolded in Shahdara, Lahore, where an underage driver ran over three motorcycles, leaving one man dead and three others injured. According to police, the driver, identified as Hashir, lost control of his vehicle due to reckless driving and has since been arrested and charged.

The deceased, 30-year-old Muhammad Amin, was mourned by his family, who lodged the official complaint. The crash has sparked renewed concern over the persistent issue of underage and unlicensed drivers on Punjab’s roads.

Inspector General of Punjab Police, Dr. Usman Anwar, took strict notice of the incident, condemning the increasing trend of underage driving. He issued firm directives to launch a province-wide crackdown, emphasizing that minors without licenses should not be allowed to operate vehicles under any circumstances.

He also instructed the use of Safe City cameras to identify violations and called for legal action not only against the underage drivers but also their parents. The IG reaffirmed a zero-tolerance stance toward overspeeding, overloading, and one-way traffic violations, citing public safety concerns.
