On the fifth anniversary of Juice WRLD’s Legends Never Die album, fans were gifted two new songs from the late rapper’s estate. One of these emotional tracks is a posthumous collaboration with XXXTENTACION, titled The Way, released on July 11.
The song features XXXTENTACION singing a heartfelt chorus over soft acoustic guitar. His lyrics reflect deep emotion and personal struggle: “Time and time, again/ I am lost, my friend/ Getting better, I’m getting better.” Juice WRLD follows with his signature melodic flow, expressing his ongoing search for peace.
In addition to the song, an animated music video directed by Steve Cannon brings the two late artists together once again. In the visual, both appear as space explorers on a journey through the galaxy, symbolizing their connection beyond life.
This release marks another powerful posthumous collaboration between Juice WRLD and XXXTENTACION. Earlier this year, the duo appeared together on “whoa (mind in awe),” further uniting their devoted fan bases.
Another new track titled All Life Long was also added to the updated 26-song version of Legends Never Die. Alongside the music, a fresh line of merchandise and exclusive vinyl bundles is now available on Interscope’s official website.
Juice WRLD tragically passed away on December 8, 2019, due to an accidental overdose. XXXTENTACION was killed in an armed robbery on June 18, 2018, at just 20 years old. Both artists left an undeniable mark on the music world with their raw lyrics and emotional depth.
Their posthumous releases continue to resonate with fans, serving as a reminder of their talent and legacy. The Way is a touching tribute to their lasting impact.
