Dakota Johnson has shared her thoughts on her strong connection with her hair, revealing how much it means to her.
The Hollywood actress is widely recognized for her signature dark brown hair with curtain bangs that frame her face perfectly. During an interview with Etalk to promote her upcoming movie Splitsville, Dakota Johnson spoke candidly about her emotional bond with her hairstyle.
“Oh, God. You know what? I’m like obviously physically attached to my hair, but I’m very emotionally attached to it,” she admitted.
She further explained that she has rarely made changes to her hair throughout her career. “And I should probably change things up, but I don’t think I will,” the Materialist actress added.
Earlier, in an interview with Elle, hairstylist Joel Goncalves described Johnson’s haircut in detail. “It’s cut shorter in the middle and curves slightly into the temple area, blending into the layers. Her new fringe is more ’70s as opposed to her usual ’60s-inspired style,” he explained.
On August 19, Dakota Johnson attended the Los Angeles premiere of Splitsville with her mother, actress Melanie Griffith. The star wore a sleeveless metallic gown and styled her hair down, while Griffith chose a cream suit with her hair tied neatly in a bun.
Splitsville tells the story of a couple facing marital struggles leading to divorce, until they discover that an open relationship may be the key to happiness. Dakota Johnson stars alongside Michael Angelo Covino, Adria Arjona, Kyle Marvin, Charlie Gillespie, and Nahéma Ricci in the comedy film.
