The coaching staff explained that the decision to rest senior players was made to allow them time to work on specific areas of their game. At the same time, selectors wanted to provide opportunities for young talents like Saim Ayub, Sahibzada Farhan, and Fakhar Zaman.
The Asia Cup 2025 will take place in the UAE from September 9 to 28. Pakistan has been placed in Group A with India, Oman, and the UAE. The team will open its campaign against Oman on September 12.
This revamped Pakistan lineup reflects a strategy built on power-hitting, fresh energy, and renewed focus as the team prepares for both the Asia Cup and the next T20 World Cup.
