Actor Raymond Cruz was arrested in Los Angeles on September 8, 2025, after a dispute involving a garden hose. Cruz, known for his role as Tuco Salamanca in Breaking Bad, was taken into custody in the Silver Lake neighborhood.
The incident happened while Cruz was washing his car outside his home. Reports say a group of women in a minivan parked close to his car. Cruz asked them to move back so he would not splash water on their vehicle. When they did not move, he continued cleaning. At one point, water from the hose splashed onto the van, and one of the women contacted the police.
Officers arrived and arrested Raymond Cruz on suspicion of misdemeanor battery. He was booked around 1:30 p.m. and released about two hours later on his own recognizance. Cruz is scheduled to appear in court on October 1.
Cruzβs representative rejected the accusation and said the actor did not intentionally spray anyone. They called the arrest unnecessary and insisted Cruz was simply washing his car. The representative added that Cruz has lived in the neighborhood for over two decades without legal issues.
No formal charges have been filed yet, and the case remains under review. Cruz is cooperating with the process and has received support from fans and colleagues who were surprised by the incident.
For now, Raymond Cruz continues his daily routine as he awaits his upcoming court appearance.
