Khyber Pakhtunkhwa to Launch Digital Pension System – Check Launch Date

PESHAWAR – Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Chief Minister Ali Amin Gandapur has approved the launch of the Ehsaas e-Pension System, a modern digital pension system that will officially begin on January 1, 2026.

The initiative marks a shift from traditional paper-based methods to a fully digital platform, aimed at improving transparency and efficiency.

Online Applications for Pensioners

Under the new digital pension system, government employees nearing retirement will be able to submit pension applications online up to six months before retirement. The system will include a simple digital form where applicants can securely upload required documents.

Once submitted, the platform will automatically assign tasks and deadlines to relevant authorities, ensuring faster and more transparent verification and approval processes.

Secure and Integrated Services

All pension orders generated will include legally valid digital signatures, reducing the risk of delays or errors. The digital pension system will also be linked with NADRA, the Accountant General’s Office, and partner banks. This integration will allow direct transfer of pension funds into retirees’ bank accounts.

Chief Minister Gandapur highlighted that the system will remove the need for pensioners to repeatedly visit government offices, saving time and effort.

Step Toward Digital Governance

Gandapur further noted that Khyber Pakhtunkhwa has already digitized 36 other public services, strengthening governance and accountability. He stressed that the introduction of the digital pension system will make pension management more transparent, reliable, and citizen-friendly.

The move reflects the province’s broader goal of embracing technology to deliver public services more efficiently and with greater accountability.

With its official launch in January 2026, the digital pension system is expected to set a benchmark for modern governance in Pakistan.
