Alibaba.com, a leading B2B e-commerce platform, hosted its flagship event CoCreate 2025 in the United States, unveiling new AI-driven solutions for global trade. The event highlighted opportunities for small and medium enterprises (SMEs) to expand worldwide using digital tools.
Representing Pakistan, Pace Sports, a Sialkot-based sportswear manufacturer, participated in the global gathering. Its founder, Tehseen Abbas, a seasoned Pakistani entrepreneur and verified Alibaba.com seller, addressed international buyers on changing apparel sourcing trends.
Abbas shared insights on how global buyer behavior is shifting toward data-driven and AI-enabled sourcing. With over 80% of Pace Sports’ revenue generated through Alibaba.com, he stressed that Pakistan has strong potential to be a top-tier apparel sourcing destination.
The Pakistani entrepreneur said attending CoCreate 2025 was a valuable opportunity for him and for Pakistan’s apparel industry. He noted that the immediate interest from U.S. buyers showed growing confidence in Pakistan as a competitive and reliable supplier.
Alibaba.com also introduced “Deep Search,” its latest AI-powered procurement tool, at the event. The tool allows complex product searches by combining natural-language queries with image-based inputs. According to Alibaba.com Research, 63% of SMEs now seek AI solutions for cross-border trade, highlighting the growing demand for such technology.
Abbas emphasized that these AI tools will help Pakistani SMEs expand more rapidly in global markets. He added that platforms like Alibaba.com not only provide access to international buyers but also enhance credibility for sellers.
Industry experts believe participation by Pakistani entrepreneurs at such events strengthens the country’s reputation in global trade. With its skilled workforce and growing adoption of digital platforms, Pakistan is increasingly positioning itself as a hub for apparel exports.
