Viper, a local PC brand, has been ranked as Pakistan’s No. 1 PC brand by unit shipments in Q2 2025, according to the IDC Pakistan PC Market Executive Summary.
Building on this achievement, Viper has started local manufacturing under the national “Made in Pakistan” initiative. The move is seen as a milestone for the technology sector and a step toward reducing dependency on imports.
Khushnood Aftab, CEO of Viper Technology, said the recognition as Pakistan’s leading PC brand, along with the launch of local production, shows that Pakistani technology can compete both at home and internationally. He added that the company is focused on strengthening supply chains and creating jobs through innovation.
Local manufacturing will reduce reliance on fully built imports, easing pressure on foreign exchange reserves. It will also help generate future export revenue. Factory operations, quality assurance, after-sales services, and channel support are expected to create jobs while training youth in electronics assembly, testing, and customer service.
Viper highlighted that locally built systems will ensure better lead times, customization options, and reliable after-sales support. These features are particularly important for schools, enterprises, and government projects.
The PC brand’s product portfolio includes AI-enabled PCs, laptops, desktops, tablets, and interactive displays. By expanding its offerings, Viper aims to strengthen local research and development and integration expertise. This supports the broader digitization goals of government, education, and enterprise sectors.
Industry analysts view this achievement as a sign of stronger domestic value chains. It promises savings in foreign exchange, the creation of skilled jobs, and positioning Pakistan for leadership in the AI-driven technology era.
