Pak–Saudi Agreement Hailed As Milestone For Security And Economy

The Pakistan Industrial & Traders Associations Front (PIAF) has praised the recently signed Pak–Saudi agreement, calling it a landmark breakthrough for both nations. The Strategic Mutual Defense Agreement is expected to strengthen national security while unlocking trade, investment, and industrial opportunities.

In a joint statement, PIAF Chairman Faheem Saigol, Senior Vice Chairman Nasrullah Mughal, and Vice Chairman Tahir Manzoor Chaudhary commended the government for deepening ties with Saudi Arabia. They said the Pak–Saudi agreement marks a turning point in Pakistan’s economic and geopolitical future.

Chairman Faheem Saigol highlighted the pact’s central clause, under which aggression against one country will be treated as aggression against both. He said this clause not only ensures military security but also builds investor confidence. “When investors see stability, capital flows in. This agreement gives that assurance,” he noted.

Senior Vice Chairman Nasrullah Mughal stressed that economic progress and national security go hand in hand. He said the business community views the Pak–Saudi agreement as a model of security-driven economic growth. He added that it will support cooperation in energy, infrastructure, technology, and industrial trade.

Vice Chairman Tahir Manzoor Chaudhary emphasized Saudi Arabia’s role as Pakistan’s largest source of remittances. He said the agreement strengthens this bond and creates space for joint ventures in oil refining, renewable energy, manufacturing, and construction. He also pointed out that Saudi Arabia’s Vision 2030 reforms provide opportunities for Pakistan to align its export industries with the Kingdom’s diversification goals.

The PIAF leadership expressed confidence in the Special Investment Facilitation Council (SIFC), noting that recent reforms will encourage Saudi investment. They urged Pakistani businesses to adopt international standards, enhance capacity, and seek partnerships with Saudi firms.

“This agreement guarantees peace and security. Now, we must convert that into prosperity for our people,” Saigol concluded.
