Pakistan’s Remittance Landscape Hits Record $38.3bn In Flows

Pakistan’s remittance inflows surged to an all-time high of US$38.3 billion in the fiscal year 2024-25. In March alone, overseas workers sent home $4.1 billion, the highest monthly figure ever. These inflows now account for nearly 8% of Pakistan’s GDP, making them more dependable than exports or foreign aid.

For years, money transfers relied on slow, costly, and cash-based systems. However, digital platforms have transformed the remittance landscape. Services such as TapTap Send, Remitly, and ACE Money Transfer are reshaping how millions of families receive funds, offering faster, safer, and more transparent channels.

Among these providers, ACE Money Transfer has emerged as a leading choice for the Pakistani diaspora. Founded in 2002 in Bolton, UK, it has grown into a global player, serving customers across the UK, Europe, Australia, and North America. Today, ACE processes over six million transactions annually, with 2.5 million directed to Pakistan. Its wide network covers 375,000 payout locations worldwide and nearly 14,000 points in Pakistan, ensuring access in both cities and rural areas.

Rashid Ashraf, CEO of ACE Money Transfer, noted that most remittances support household expenses, education, and healthcare. He highlighted that more than half of transfers now land directly in bank accounts, a shift that improves security and convenience. ACE also partners with Bank Al Habib, Easypaisa, and JazzCash, expanding access and boosting financial inclusion.

Ashraf added, “Our mission is to make every transfer fast, secure, and reliable. Transparency and trust are the backbone of our service.”

Remittances not only help families but also fuel small businesses, support entrepreneurship, and strengthen local economies. As the remittance landscape continues to digitize, it remains Pakistan’s most stable source of foreign exchange and a vital pillar of economic growth.
