Jolly LLB 3, starring Akshay Kumar and Arshad Warsi, has shown strong performance at the box office. The film collected ₹73.5 crore in its opening week, marking a solid start for the courtroom drama.
The movie picked up pace over the weekend, adding ₹41 crore to its earnings. On Sunday, collections slowed slightly due to the India vs Pakistan cricket match, but overall numbers stayed positive. According to industry tracker Sacnilk, the film earned ₹12.5 crore on Thursday, closing its first week on a stable note.
Trade analyst Taran Adarsh described the weekend numbers as “excellent,” highlighting the strength of Saturday and Sunday business. With no major Hindi releases until October 2, the film has a clear run at the box office. Upcoming releases like Kantara Chapter 1 and Sunny Sanskari Ki Tulsi Kumari may provide the next big challenge.
The Jolly LLB franchise has built a strong following over the years. The first film, released in 2013, starred Arshad Warsi and turned into a sleeper hit with lifetime earnings of ₹48.7 crore. It was praised for its storytelling and featured Saurabh Shukla, Boman Irani, and Amrita Rao.
Four years later, Jolly LLB 2 hit theatres with Akshay Kumar taking the lead as advocate Jolly Mishra. The sequel also featured Huma Qureshi and Annu Kapoor, and further cemented the series’ reputation for blending courtroom drama with social commentary.
For the first time, Jolly LLB 3 brings Akshay and Arshad together on screen. Their collaboration, combined with audience curiosity and franchise loyalty, has helped the movie deliver a strong first week.
If the weekday numbers hold steady, the film is expected to cross higher milestones in the coming weeks. The absence of big competition gives it a chance to build momentum.
