OKARA: A shocking case of father rape has emerged from Gulshan Shabbir Town, Okara, where a young woman was murdered after giving birth to a child conceived through sexual assault by her own father.
Police reported that Shabbir Ali allegedly raped his 20-year-old daughter, which led to her pregnancy. After the child’s birth, the newborn was killed and buried in a nearby field. Authorities say Shabbir Ali later murdered his daughter, Mehak, and buried her after funeral prayers in the locality.
The crime was uncovered following a police emergency call. A case was registered by ASI Hasnain Raza Shah, naming Shabbir Ali, along with Sonia, Shahbaz, and two unidentified individuals. Charges were filed under Sections 302 (murder), 376 (rape), 311 (attempt to conceal crime), and 201 (causing disappearance of evidence).
Police confirmed that Shabbir Ali has been taken into custody. Investigators are now seeking a magistrate’s permission to exhume Mehak’s grave as part of the inquiry. Authorities are also searching for the remains of the newborn.
The investigating officer stated that further details will emerge as the case progresses. He assured that all individuals involved in this brutal father rape case will be brought to justice.
