After years of waiting, the highly anticipated Pakistani film Neelofar is finally set to release in cinemas worldwide on November 28, 2025. The film stars the beloved on-screen pair Fawad Khan and Mahira Khan, reuniting after their iconic chemistry in Humsafar and The Legend of Maula Jatt.
The news was confirmed by Mahira Khan, who revealed the official poster of Neelofar on her social media. Sharing her excitement, she wrote, “Is mulaqat ka dil se intezar hai… wo November 28th ko ho ge. Presenting the official poster of Neelofar. In cinemas worldwide — 28th November. Save the date!”
Fans of the duo have eagerly awaited their return to the big screen. Neelofar promises to be an emotional love story with a powerful message, featuring Mahira as a blind woman and Fawad bringing his signature charm to the male lead.
The project has been a long time in the making. Filming began in 2019 but was delayed due to the COVID-19 pandemic, leaving just a few days of shooting incomplete. Production resumed in late 2020, with several sequences filmed in Lahore’s scenic Walled City during winter.
Neelofar is written and directed by Ammar Rasool and produced by Usaf Shariq, with Fawad Khan and Hassaan Khalid serving as executive producers. The background score is composed by Zeeshan (Vicky) Haider.
The film features a strong supporting cast, including Madiha Imam, Sarwat Gilani, Atiqa Odho, Gohar Rasheed, Faisal Qureshi, Samiya Mumtaz, and others.
Since the announcement, excitement has spread across social media, with celebrities and fans expressing joy. Actress Ramsha Khan exclaimed, “Yaaaaaaaas,” while others, like Amina Sheikh and Ghana Ali, praised the upcoming reunion of Fawad and Mahira — calling them their “favorite duo.”
