LAHORE β Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz has announced a monthly stipend for 65,000 mosque imams across the province, marking another major welfare initiative under her government.
Chairing a high-level meeting on law and order in Lahore, Maryam Nawaz instructed officials to ensure convenience for the public and address complaints promptly. She warned that negligence or delays in public service delivery would not be tolerated under any circumstances.
During a special session on E-Business initiatives, the chief minister received a comprehensive briefing on the projectβs progress. Expressing satisfaction over the efforts, she set a strict two-week deadline for the projectβs full implementation. Maryam Nawaz emphasized that all departmental NOCs must be issued under one platform to save citizensβ time and effort.
To enhance efficiency, she directed that weekly reviews of pending E-Business applications be conducted. A special cell will also be established within the Punjab Information Technology Board (PITB) to monitor the projectβs operations.
The chief minister announced that she would personally chair review meetings every 15 days to ensure transparency and accountability. She reiterated her commitment to eliminating bureaucratic hurdles, stating that digital transformation could bring rapid and visible improvements.
βThrough E-Business, overnight transformation is possible. Nothing is more satisfying than seeing people get their due rights,β she remarked.
Highlighting Pakistanβs potential, Maryam Nawaz said the country holds immense opportunities for growth and progress. She added that E-Business could serve as a game-changer by restoring public trust and creating a more accessible, business-friendly environment.
