Bollywood actor Kartik Aaryan has officially started filming for his upcoming project, “Naagzilla”, a film that promises an exciting mix of action, fantasy, and comedy. The movie presents a fresh concept focusing on the classic theme of man versus snake.
Inspired by the Hollywood blockbuster Godzilla, the 34-year-old actor will reportedly play a dual role, portraying both the hero and the villain. Fans are eagerly waiting to see Aaryan in this unique setup, which blends mythological elements with modern storytelling.
Kartik Aaryan first announced “Naagzilla” in April through an Instagram post that went viral. In his post, he humorously wrote, “Insanon wali picharein toh bahut dekh leen, ab dekho naagon wali pichchar #Naagzilla… Naag Panchami par aapke nazdeeki Sssssinemas mein.” He also confirmed that the film will hit theatres on August 14, 2026.
On November 1, exactly one year after the release of his hit movie Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3, Aaryan shared a new Instagram post marking the beginning of the shoot. In the photo, he was seen holding a clapboard with the title “Naagzilla”, along with the date and shift details. He captioned it, “1 Year of #BhoolBhulaiyaa3, Day 1 of #Naagzilla, Har Har Mahadev, August 14, 2026.”
According to reports, “Naagzilla” is being jointly produced by renowned filmmakers Karan Johar and Mahaveer Jain. The movie will be directed by Mrighdeep Singh Lamba, the man behind the successful Fukrey series. Insiders reveal that the film is planned as the first part of a three-film franchise, with Lamba having worked on its concept for several years.
Fans and critics alike are calling Naagzilla one of the most anticipated films of Kartik Aaryan’s career, expected to combine thrilling visuals, humor, and an engaging storyline.
