In a video posted on her official TikTok account, Dr. Nabiha clarified her respect for Maulana Tariq Jamil, calling him “like a father personality” and expressing disappointment over false claims circulating online. She said, “Maulana is not only your father; I also consider him as my own father.” She also criticized the toxic social media culture, highlighting how influencers misused her private life to create content.
“The way people have targeted my Nikah is unacceptable. Using my pictures and making drama out of my personal moments is wrong,” she said. Dr. Nabiha emphasized that she only sang a few lines for her husband and did not disrespect the ceremony or its venue. She added that certain organizations might be deliberately trying to tarnish her reputation.
Yousaf Jamil also commented, clarifying that Maulana Tariq Jamil did not personally know Dr. Nabiha before the ceremony. He explained that his father, at 72, was acting in a fatherly role for the bride and that officiating Nikahs for brides of younger age groups is common practice.
Yousaf criticized the social media overreaction and videos from the event, urging the public to consider Maulana’s decades of religious service.
