Veteran Bollywood actor Govinda was admitted to CritiCare Asia Multispeciality Hospital in Mumbai after collapsing at his residence early Wednesday morning.
According to reports, Govinda fell unconscious at around 1 am and was immediately rushed to the hospital. His friend and legal advisor, Lalit Bindal, confirmed that the actor underwent several medical tests upon arrival.
“He was given medicine after consulting a doctor and admitted to the hospital in emergency at 1 am. He has undergone several tests and is now awaiting the reports,” Lalit Bindal told NDTV.
Earlier in the day, Govinda had been feeling weak and disoriented. He reportedly experienced unease and discomfort since Tuesday morning. By evening, his condition worsened, prompting him to contact his family doctor, who prescribed medication.
Bindal shared details with Hindustan Times about the incident: “Govinda took the medicine around 8:30-9:00 pm and went to rest in his room. Around midnight, he again felt weak, disoriented, and suffocated. I reached his home at 12:15 am, and following his doctor’s advice, we took him to the hospital.”
After initial treatment in the emergency ward, Govinda has now been shifted to a regular room. Bindal reassured fans that the actor is stable and recovering. “He is doing better now,” he added.
The actor, widely known for his energetic performances and iconic roles in Bollywood, has received an outpouring of support from fans and colleagues alike. Many have taken to social media to send prayers and wishes for his speedy recovery.
Hospital sources confirmed that doctors are monitoring Govinda closely, and further updates will be shared once his test results are available. The actor is expected to remain under observation for the next few days to ensure his full recovery.
