TikTok has introduced a new feature called Bulletin Board, allowing creators and brands to share one-to-many messages with followers. The move mirrors Instagramโs broadcast channels feature launched in 2023.
The Bulletin Board feature supports text, image, and video posts. Only the creator can post messages, while followers can react using emojis. This setup aims to help creators share news, updates, and exclusive content with their communities in a centralized way.
Creators must be at least 18 years old and have a minimum of 50,000 followers to use Bulletin Board. During its beta phase, the feature was used by musicians to share new releases and by organizations like People magazine and Paris Saint-Germain to provide updates.
TikTok emphasized safety, noting that all content must comply with its Community Guidelines. Users can mute, block, or report content to maintain a safe environment. The platform uses a combination of technology and human moderators to enforce these rules.
To create a Bulletin Board, creators go to their inbox and select the option. They can toggle visibility on their profile, choose a name for their board, and post updates. Followers can join by visiting the creatorโs profile and clicking the boardโs name under the bio. Once joined, they receive notifications for every new post.
The launch of Bulletin Board highlights TikTokโs focus on building stronger connections between creators and followers. By providing a dedicated space for updates, TikTok aims to improve community engagement and make it easier for fans to stay informed about their favorite creators.
This new feature is part of TikTokโs ongoing efforts to expand interactive tools for creators and strengthen the platformโs position as a hub for digital content and communication.
