Hollywood star Tom Cruise was honored with an Academy Honorary Award at the 16th annual Governors Awards on Sunday, November 16. The ceremony took place at the Ray Dolby Ballroom in California.

The Governors Awards also honored other entertainment figures. Choreographer Debbie Allen received an honorary Oscar, presented by Cynthia Erivo. Meanwhile, Dolly Parton was awarded the Jean Hersholt Humanitarian Award virtually.
