Bollywood legend Amitabh Bachchan, aged 81, has been hospitalized at Kokilaben Hospital in Mumbai. While the specific reason for his hospitalization has not been disclosed, sources have confirmed that it is unrelated to any cardiac issues.

According to insiders, Bachchan underwent an angioplasty procedure to address a clot in his leg, rather than a heart-related condition. Prior to reports of his hospitalization, Bachchan, affectionately known as Big B, shared a cryptic post on the social media platform X (formerly Twitter), expressing gratitude.

In another post, he shared a promotional video of his Indian Street Premier League (ISPL) team, Majhi Mumbai, with a caption emphasizing the team’s potential victory. On March 14, Majhi Mumbai secured a decisive victory against Chennai Singams, owned by Tamil superstar Suriya, with player Abhishek Dalhor delivering a standout performance. This win secured Bachchan’s team a spot in the final of the inaugural ISPL – T10 league.

Amitabh Bachchan’s iconic career in Bollywood remains unparalleled, beginning with his debut in the film Saat Hindustani in 1969. The megastar continues to enthrall audiences with his on-screen charisma and versatile acting. Upcoming projects include Kalki 2898 AD, directed by Nag Ashwin, and his Tamil debut in Vettaiyan, helmed by T. J. Gnanavel.
