Former Pakistani fast bowler Aaqib Javed has weighed in on the ongoing debate about the better batsman between Babar Azam and Virat Kohli. Aaqib Javed compared the two contemporary batting stars, acknowledging Virat Kohli’s brilliance but noting his inconsistency over various seasons.
He emphasized that while Kohli has exceptional periods, his lack of sustained performance leads to declines. In contrast, Aaqib highlighted Babar Azam’s consistency in scoring runs.

Regarding the upcoming World Cup 2023 match between Pakistan and India, Aaqib expressed optimism about Pakistan’s chances of winning. He attributed this optimism to Pakistan’s well-rounded team composition across all aspects of the game, which he believes is stronger than that of their arch-rivals, as evidenced in recent times.
Notably, the neighboring nations will face off in the Asia Cup 2023’s third match on September 2 in Sri Lanka. Furthermore, under the leadership of Babar Azam, Pakistan will also compete against India in the World Cup 2023 on October 14 at Ahmedabad’s Narendra Modi Stadium.
