Babar Azam Returns to Pakistan After T20 World Cup

He arrived at Allama Iqbal International Airport, Lahore, about 10 days after the T20 World Cup debacle.

Babar Azam is expected to meet Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) Chairman Mohsin Naqvi in the coming days to discuss the team’s overall performance.

After Pakistan was knocked out in the early stages of the World Cup, some team players returned home a week ago, while Babar, Haris Rauf, Imad Wasim, Azam Khan, and Mohammad Amir extended their stay in the US.

The Pakistan team has faced criticism from fans and former cricketers for their poor performance in the tournament, including a defeat by the emerging USA team.

Earlier this month, Haris Rauf was confronted by a fan in the USA, with the situation escalating nearly to blows.
