Bilawal Urges PTI Workers to Back PPP, Promises End to 'Politics of Revenge'

PPP Chairman Bilawal Bhutto-Zardari has called on PTI (Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf) workers to support his party in the upcoming general election, pledging to move away from the “politics of revenge.” Speaking at a public meeting in Lahore, he shared his own experience of political oppression and expressed his commitment to a more inclusive and respectful form of politics.

Bilawal stressed that the upcoming elections were a competition between PML-N (Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz) and PPP, urging PTI workers to back his party. He criticized imprisoning women from opposing parties, stating that it did not align with the principles of fair politics.

Addressing PML-N workers, Bilawal extended an invitation, promising to respect their votes and take care of them. He emphasized his commitment to uniting the country by eradicating divisive and hateful politics, advocating for consensus and respect for all.

The PPP leader criticized veteran politicians, asserting that the country’s leadership should not be handed over to those who repeatedly failed to fulfill promises. He called on the youth to make good use of their voting power, highlighting challenges in employment for young and qualified individuals.

Bilawal proposed cost-saving measures, suggesting the closure of ministries and redirecting subsidies to benefit deserving individuals. He outlined PPP’s goals, including doubling the income of the common man and achieving the construction of three million houses.

In a post on X (formerly Twitter) after the rally, Bilawal urged an end to the politics of revenge, division, and hate, advocating for a new direction in politics. He called on people to vote for the ‘arrow’ on February 8 and choose a better tomorrow.
