Gold prices in Pakistan recorded a slight decline on Saturday after a similar movement in the international market.

However, recent price trends suggest rates could move toward the Rs. 470,000 per tola level again next week.

According to the All Pakistan Gems and Jewellers Sarafa Association (APGJSA), 24-karat gold fell by Rs. 100.

The precious metal closed at Rs. 460,236 per tola after the latest decline. The price of 10 grams of 24-karat gold also decreased by Rs. 85. It settled at Rs. 394,578.

The latest decline came just one day after a sharp increase in domestic bullion prices.

Gold Prices Rose Sharply on Friday

On Friday, Gold prices had increased by Rs. 6,900 per tola. The sharp increase pushed the 24-karat rate to Rs. 460,336 per tola.

Saturday’s Rs. 100 decline therefore represented only a small reversal compared with Friday’s increase.

The recent movements have kept bullion prices at historically high levels in Pakistan.

Market trends will now remain important for buyers and investors watching next week’s rates.

Based on the trend cited in the available information, prices could again test the Rs. 470,000-per-tola territory.

However, future prices remain uncertain and can change with domestic and international market conditions.

International Gold Price Falls

The international bullion market also recorded a slight decline.

International Gold fell by $1 and settled at $4,377 per ounce. The reported international rate included a premium of $20.

Changes in global bullion prices can influence local rates in Pakistan. Domestic prices can also be affected by currency movements and other market conditions.

Therefore, changes in international prices remain closely watched by Pakistan’s bullion market.

Silver Price Also Declines in Pakistan

Silver also became cheaper in the domestic market on Saturday. The price of silver declined by Rs. 69 per tola.

Following the decrease, silver settled at Rs. 7,100 per tola.

Both major precious metals therefore ended Saturday with lower prices. For gold, however, the decline was relatively small compared with Friday’s Rs. 6,900 increase.

Attention will now turn to next week’s trading and international bullion movements. If upward pressure returns, local gold rates could move closer to Rs. 470,000 per tola.

The actual direction will depend on market conditions, making the Rs. 470,000 level a possibility rather than a confirmed forecast.
