KARACHI: Gold prices in Pakistan increased on Tuesday as rates recovered in the international bullion market.

According to the All-Pakistan Gems and Jewellers Sarafa Association (APGJSA), the price of gold increased by Rs. 900 per tola.

Following the latest increase, the price of one tola reached Rs. 440,836 in the local market. The price of 10 grams also recorded an increase during Tuesday’s trading session.

According to the association, the rate for 10 grams climbed by Rs. 771 to reach Rs. 377,945. The latest increase followed a decline recorded in the domestic bullion market on Monday.

A day earlier, the price of one tola had dropped by Rs. 2,100, settling at Rs. 439,936. However, the market recovered on Tuesday as international bullion prices moved upward.

In the global market, gold prices increased by $9 per ounce, reaching $4,183. The rise in international prices coincided with the latest increase in Pakistan’s domestic bullion rates.

Gold prices in Pakistan are influenced by several factors, including international market movements and currency exchange rates.

Changes in global bullion prices can affect the rates offered by local gold dealers and jewellers. The latest price adjustment reflects another movement in the country’s precious metals market.

For consumers, higher gold rates can increase the cost of purchasing jewellery and other gold products. Buyers planning to purchase jewellery may need to review their budgets following the latest increase.

Similarly, people considering gold as an investment may closely monitor daily price changes. Gold is commonly purchased in Pakistan for weddings, personal savings, and investment purposes.

However, its market value can fluctuate, making daily price updates important for buyers and sellers. The difference between Monday’s decline and Tuesday’s increase highlights these short-term market movements.

Although prices recovered on Tuesday, the increase remained smaller than the previous day’s decline. The latest per-tola rate is still Rs. 1,200 below the level recorded before Monday’s decrease.

Meanwhile, silver prices remained stable in Pakistan despite the increase in gold rates. According to the reported market figures, silver continued trading at Rs. 6,532 per tola.

No change was recorded in the local silver price during Tuesday’s market update. This indicates that the two precious metals experienced different price movements during the session.

While gold became more expensive, silver maintained its previous market rate. The latest figures provide an updated picture of precious metal prices for Pakistani consumers.

Jewellers, investors, and buyers often follow these changes to assess current market conditions. The association’s daily price announcements serve as an important reference for the country’s bullion market.

However, actual jewellery purchases may involve additional charges, including making costs and other applicable expenses.

Customers should confirm the final selling price with their jeweller before making a purchase. For now, gold stands at Rs. 440,836 per tola, while the 10-gram rate is Rs. 377,945.

International gold prices have reached $4,183 per ounce following Tuesday’s increase.

Silver remains unchanged at Rs. 6,532 per tola in the domestic market.
