Gold prices in Pakistan might rise in the near future due to a five-month suspension of gold imports. Prior to this suspension, Pakistan imported an average of 40 to 50 kilograms of gold per month. In fiscal year 2023-24, the country imported 262 kilograms of gold valued at $20 million, down from 567 kilograms worth $30.6 million in the previous fiscal year. The suspension of imports could potentially increase domestic gold prices.
