The price of gold in Pakistan, which had seen two consecutive declines, witnessed an increase of nearly Rs. 5,000 per tola on Saturday, closing the week at Rs. 202,000.
Data released by the All-Pakistan Gems and Jewellers Association (APGJA) reveals that the price of 24-carat gold increased by Rs. 4,900 per tola, reaching Rs. 202,000. The price of 10 grams of gold also registered an increase of Rs. 4,201, closing at Rs. 173,182.
The official gold prices were released by traders after a gap of almost one month on October 10 (Tuesday). On Tuesday, the price of 24-carat gold stood at Rs. 199,500 per tola. The price surged by Rs. 5,500 per tola on Wednesday, reaching Rs. 205,000. However, it experienced a sharp decline of Rs. 7,800 per tola on Thursday and dropped by a further Rs. 100 on Friday.

Summing up the week, the price of gold has increased by Rs. 2,500 per tola.
