The price of 24kt gold per 10 grams has also climbed, now at Rs. 242,455, up by Rs. 1,971, while 22kt gold per 10 grams is priced at Rs. 222,250.

On the international front, gold has risen by $23 to $2,716 per ounce. Silver prices remain steady, with 24kt silver priced at Rs. 3,450 per tola and Rs. 2,957.81 per 10 grams.

The rise in gold prices is attributed to global economic conditions and growing demand for the metal in times of uncertainty, as investors view gold as a safe-haven asset.

This surge is expected to have a significant impact on consumers and investors in Pakistan, especially in the wedding and jewelry sectors where gold holds considerable value.
