The price of gold in Pakistan has risen slightly after two consecutive drops.

After a significant drop in the first two days of the week, the price of gold in Pakistan increased modestly on Wednesday.

The price of gold (24 carats) climbed by Rs. 1,000 per tola to Rs. 206,000, according to data issued by the All-Pakistan Sarafa Gems and Jewellers Association (APSGJA), while the price of 10 grammes jumped by Rs. 858 to Rs. 176,612.

The price of gold fell substantially at the start of the week, falling by Rs. 8,800 per tola on Monday before falling again by Rs. 2,200 per tola on Tuesday. Despite today’s minor uptick, the price of gold has fallen by Rs. 10,000 per tola over the last week.

Spot gold remained nearly unchanged in the international market at $1,923.53 per ounce by 1355 GMT, while US gold futures were up 0.1 percent to $1,931.10.
