Check the List of Phones on Which WhatsApp Will Stop Working

WhatsApp, the popular messaging app, announced it will no longer support 35 devices with older Google and Apple operating systems. This change aims to ensure compatibility across various smartphones, including Android and iOS.

The affected devices include models from Samsung, Motorola, Huawei, Sony, LG, and Apple. Despite some being older, they may still have decent hardware but won’t be able to upgrade, making continued use surprising.

For secure WhatsApp usage, the company advises using devices with Android 5.0 or iOS 12 and above. Older systems will miss updates, posing security risks.

Devices losing WhatsApp support include:

Samsung: Galaxy Ace Plus, Galaxy Core, Galaxy Express 2, and others.

Motorola: Moto G, Moto X.

Apple: iPhone 5, 5C, 6, 6S, SE.

Huawei: Ascend P6 S, Ascend G525, and others.

Lenovo: Models including Lenovo A858T and P70.

Sony: Xperia Z1, E3.

LG: Optimus series.

Other models include various from brands like ZTE and Archos.
