Countrywide Forecast: Rain and Thunderstorms Expected Until March 31st

The Pakistan Meteorological Department has issued a forecast predicting rain from March 27 to 31 in most parts of the country. With a new spell of rains approaching, people are urged to take precautionary measures to prevent loss of life, damage to infrastructure, and harm to crops and animals.

 

According to the Met Office, a westerly wave is expected to enter western parts of the country on March 27, reaching upper and central parts by March 28 and persisting until March 31.

In Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, rain, windstorms, and thunderstorms are expected in various districts from March 27 to 31, with occasional heavy falls and hailstorms on March 29 and 30.

In Gilgit-Baltistan and Kashmir, rain, windstorms, and thunderstorms are forecasted from March 27 to April 1, with occasional heavy falls and hailstorms on March 29 and 30.

Punjab and Islamabad are likely to experience rain, windstorms, and thunderstorms from March 27 (evening/night) to March 31. Similar weather conditions are expected in parts of southern Punjab from March 28 to 30, with isolated windstorms and hailstorms during the forecast period.

In Balochistan, rain, windstorms, and thunderstorms are anticipated in various districts from March 27 to 29, while dry weather and dust-raising winds are expected in southern parts of the province.

Sindh is forecasted to experience rain, windstorms, and thunderstorms in some districts on March 28 and 29, with dry weather and dust-raising winds expected in southern areas.
