Decision about appointment of Finance Minister as Caretaker Prime Minister

According to party sources, the Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) is contemplating Ishaq Dar as a possible temporary prime minister. Dar is the current finance minister and a close associate of former Prime Minister and PML-N supremo Nawaz Sharif.
The PML-N is now in talks with its ruling coalition allies to agree on a name for the caretaker PM.
The Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP), the Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam-Fazl (JUI-F), and the Muttahida Qaumi Movement-Pakistan (MQM-P) are among the prominent allies.

Dar, said to Planning Minister Ahsan Iqbal, might be the interim Prime Minister if allies agree.
Furthermore, in an interview with Kiran Naz on Do Tok, PML-N senior leader Muhammad Zubair stated that some crucial economic choices had been made in recent weeks.
Zubair emphasized the need of maintaining these decisions, emphasizing the necessity for economic policy stability and consistency.
Dar, he argued, should be prime minister under the caretaker arrangement given the existing conditions.
The PML-N leader stated that they would need to investigate if there was room in the Constitution to designate Dar to the position.
