Punjab Allows Private Schools to Resume Summer Camps from June 15

Punjab Education Minister Rana Sikandar Hayat has permitted private schools across the province to organize summer camps from June 15 to July 15, 2025, but under strict guidelines.

As per the minister’s directive, the camps are to be conducted only from 7:30 AM to 10:00 AM to shield children from the extreme heat. Importantly, students will not be charged any fees for attending these sessions.

The initiative aims to offer students learning support, extracurricular involvement, and skill-building activities during the summer break—without placing a financial burden on families. This aligns with the summer vacation schedule already in effect from June 1 to August 14, 2025, with regular school activities resuming on August 15.

Authorities have warned that any school found charging fees or exceeding the permitted hours will face strict action. These camps are voluntary, and schools are expected to prioritize student well-being. District education officials have been instructed to monitor enforcement and respond swiftly to any violations.
