Nawaz Sharif Points Finger at Ex-PTI Government for National Crisis

Addressing a campaign gathering in Burewala town, Vehari district, the ex-prime minister criticized the past PTI government for the considerable surge in inflation. He compared the costs of basic items and utility charges during the PML-N government to those under the current Imran Khan-led administration. “Think back to my previous tenure when essential items were much more affordable. Roti was Rs4, electricity bills, once Rs500, have now soared to Rs20,000, and farm inputs and machinery costs have increased fivefold,” expressed Mr. Sharif.

Mr. Sharif attributed unemployment to the former PTI government, asserting that if his government had completed its term, today’s youth would not be facing unemployment.

During the gathering, the ex-prime minister urged participants, particularly the youth, to raise their hands if they were jobless. Almost all hands went up. In response, the three-time former prime minister conveyed his understanding and said, “I love you, but I’m saddened to hear that you are unemployed.”

Mr. Sharif attributed unemployment to the previous PTI government, emphasizing that if his government had been allowed to complete its term, today’s youth would not be facing joblessness.
