Former DG ISI Faiz Hameed Summoned Again for Faizabad Dharna Inquiry

ISLAMABAD: Former Director General (DG) of Inter-Services Intelligence (ISI), Lieutenant General (retd) Faiz Hameed, was called upon by the Faizabad Dharna Inquiry Commission (FDIC) on Friday, as per sources. However, he did not attend the summons.

Consequently, the commission has issued another notice to him through the Ministry of Defence, instructing him to participate in the inquiry, according to the sources.

The former ISI chief had initially been summoned to provide his statement during the second week of January 2024. Earlier notices were issued for the second week of December 2023 and then for Friday (December 29), but he chose not to respond to those.

Faiz Hameed has been summoned to present his statement regarding the Tehreek-e-Labbaik Pakistan (TLP) sit-in at the Faizabad flyover. This marks the third instance of him being summoned for January 2024.
