On Tuesday night, a horrible occurrence took place in Manghopir, which led to the death of a young man who had just gotten married and the injuries of his buddy.
The alleged shooters were members of the Anti-Vehicle Lifting Cell (AVLC), who are thought to have opened fire on the motorbike riders after they disobeyed orders to stop.
The victims, Hashim Sikander Magsi, 30, and his buddy Shahzad, were leaving the Shah Noorani shrine when the event occurred.
The Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP-West), Faisal Bashir Memon, stated that the AVLC police were responsible for the incident.

On the basis of the allegation made by the victim’s brother, Zamir Ahmed, the Manghopir police have opened a murder investigation against unnamed police officers.
The incident allegedly took place about 10:30 pm, when Hashim’s brother got a call notifying him of the awful news.
He arrived at the police station in Manghopir and found his brother’s dead body in an ambulance. Hashim and Shahzad, according to the complainant, had earlier in the day visited Shah Noorani’s shrine.
The complainant went on to say that at about 10:15 p.m., they were riding their motorcycle close to Manghopir Naka/Chowrangi when they received a signal from a parked police car to stop.
They ignored the signal, though, because of the darkness. The unidentified officers started shooting at this point, and one bullet hit Hashim in the back, went through his chest, and also hit Shahzad. Sadly, Hashim passed away from his injuries right there, on the spot.
Hashim had been working in Dubai for the previous ten years and had recently returned to Karachi for his recent marriage, which took place a month ago, according to relatives of the victims who expressed their sorrow to the media at the hospital. On July 29, he was supposed to travel back to Dubai.
SSP Memon confirmed that the AVLC police were involved and said that a comprehensive investigation had been mandated to ascertain what exactly happened to cause the awful loss of innocent life. The accountable police officers would be found and arrested, according to Khalid Abbasi, the Station House Officer (SHO) of Manghopir.
The Karachi police chief, Javed Alam Odho, responded to the incident by taking note of the murder and ordering the police to detain those responsible for shooting Hashim Magsi.
