Pakistan has confirmed two new polio cases, both from Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, raising the country’s total to 10 for the year.

The National Institute of Health (NIH) identified the cases in Lakki Marwat and Bannu districts after testing samples in Islamabad. Both affected children are under five years old.
This brings KP’s total polio cases in 2025 to five. Authorities are investigating the children’s vaccination history and the source of the virus.
