The Federal Public Service Commission (FPSC) announced the result of the CSS written exam 2025 on Friday. This year, a total of 18,139 candidates applied, while 12,792 appeared for the exam.
According to the FPSC, only 354 candidates passed, making the pass percentage 2.77 percent. The Commission emphasized that the result of rejected candidates will remain withheld, following Rule 16 (6) of the CSS Competitive Examination Rules, 2019.
Candidates who passed the CSS written exam will be informed about the schedule for the next stages, including the medical examination, psychological assessment, and viva voce. The FPSC said these notifications will be shared in due course.
The Commission stated, “Due care has been taken to ensure accuracy and correctness. However, the Commission reserves the right to rectify any error or omission at any time.”
The CSS written exam is a crucial step in the selection process for Pakistan’s civil services. Only candidates who clear this stage move forward to the next phases of evaluation. The low pass rate reflects the high competition and rigorous standards of the exam.
